Saturday in Columbiana was Liberty Day and I think it was a great success.  Liberty Day always falls on the last Saturday in June and the city celebrates Independence Day.  There are vendors lining the streets, musical acts sing throughout the day and it ends with a great parade.  Saturday night at the high school football field you can enjoy more singing and the night ends with a beautiful fireworks display.

It was extremely hot with a heat index of 110, but I was very pleased with the number of people who visited the shop.  There were several brides still looking for a gown and promising to come back on a day when it wasn’t so hot, as well as family members of brides who were going to spread the word about us.  Members of the community stopped by for a first-time visit and were pleasantly surprised when they browsed through the merchandise.  All in all, Liberty Day was a lot of fun for everyone and hopefully, a good introduction for Second Elegance.  I’m looking forward to what the next week brings.

Happy almost Fourth of July!!
